ArtFields in Lake City, South Carolina turns what was once one of South Carolina’s most prosperous agricultural communities into a living art gallery that shows some of the best art of the Southeastern United States. Over 300 artworks, from paintings and sculptures to installations and new media works, will be displayed in local venues that include renovated warehouses from the 1920s, art galleries, restaurants, boutiques, and other businesses. Nearly 200 additional artworks created by South Carolina student artists will also be on display. Over $100,000 of prize money is awarded each year in this celebration of art and community.
Following year eight’s virtual edition, visitors will be able to social distance during ArtFields’s ninth year as they appreciate competition artwork from artists in 12 Southeastern states, showcased in over 40 venues across a 68-acre downtown.
The nine-day event also features live music, a Portrait Contest honoring healthcare heroes as models, the Makers Market where artisans sell their handmade pieces, Plein Air Day, and more. Don’t miss the explosion of art in Lake City this year.
ArtFields is on view from April 23–May 1 in Lake City, South Carolina.
