Office for Contemporary Art Norway (OCA) is seeking an experienced candidate for the position Head of Programme. This is a new position and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading OCA’s public programs, maintaining the organization’s position as a prominent contemporary arts institution, and identifying new opportunities for development. The Head of Programme will contribute to the evolution of OCA’s programming with a strong interest in creating and implementing new platforms, models, and ways to engage with audiences.

You will work to promote and stimulate idea exchange and contribute to the development of knowledge and practices within contemporary art. You will also work closely with external institutions, organizations, curators, and other art professionals, as well as maintain strong collaborations and partnerships with various stakeholders who contribute to the development of the Office for Contemporary Art Norway’s position and international network. For OCA’s participation at the Venice Biennale, you will work closely with the selected curators and artists, taking on overall responsibility for the smooth implementation of the project that is commissioned.

OCA is seeking a candidate with relevant education and extensive experience in art and culture. A strong applicant can demonstrate a proven competence and track record of building strong international networks and establishing collaborations with artists and curators. Experience in curating and interest in new technology, digital platforms, and a curiosity about speculative futures is advantageous. The candidate should also have an interest in fostering networks and community building.
